Hattie
“Checks are having a moment, so Hattie was designed to give our customers an on-trend look while showcasing a beautiful colour palette. With its trans-seasonal appeal, this design combines pops of rust, olive, and straw-yellow with rich hues of plum and khaki. A woven texture gives Hattie a yarn-dyed look while allowing the colours to sing.”

Kamala
“Blossoms remind me of spring. With new growth there is a feeling of new life, and this is the inspiration behind Kamala. This design was one of the first developed for summer as it possesses that soft, pretty feel our customers love. Branches seem to float across the bed as small, dainty birds perch over a pale cream ground.”

Hiroshi
“Hiroshi was inspired by a traditional style of Japanese brush painting known as Hitsuzendo (the way of Zen through brush). My dad introduced me to it when he was living in Tokyo. He had a large room divider that always drew my attention – striking yet calming at the same time. I wanted to create a design along these lines, with a more abstract quality using large, expressive brush strokes. Hiroshi has a loose, dynamic energy while retaining a sense of balance.”

Kasbah
“For Kasbah, I wanted to evoke the rich colours and vibrancy of Marrakech. That feeling of discovery while travelling. This design was inspired by sun-baked clay walls, intricate tiles, oasis-like pools, and rugs found in local souks. It features scattered, hand-painted patterns in clay and blush with pops of jewel-toned blues. Fully reversible, one side features patchwork style patterns, while the other has a calmer feel with more of a stripe formation.”

Sheoak
“Found in many coastal areas, Sheoak reminds me of the ocean. It has a calming effect and a neutral palette, perfect for a restful style. To emulate the look and feel of Sheoak, I painted several large branches and foliage using a combination of techniques in ink, pastel, and watercolour. The background was painted in washy inks, giving the design a sense of movement as the branches sway and bend in the wind.”
