1. Box Stitch Construction
When searching for a goose down quilt, look for one that has the filling stitched into a box construction. This composition keeps the filling in place for even distribution and warmth across the full quilt.
2. High Percentage of Down
The higher percentage of down to feather in a quilt means that it will be softer, lighter, more resilient, and have less quills. Our Luxury Goose, Hungarian Goose, and Platinum Duck quilts are all filled with a minimum 80% down, making them wonderfully light and warm.
What is a TOG rating?
All our natural-fill quilts come with a ‘TOG warmth rating’ to make choosing easy. A ‘TOG’ is an international standard used for measuring the warmth of a quilt. It’s the measure in units of the quilt’s thermal resistance – so the higher the TOG rating, the warmer the quilt.

What are the Differences Between our 3 Goose Down Quilts?
We offer three varieties of Goose Down Quilts - Classic Goose, Luxury Goose, and Hungarian Goose. These quilts vary in their percentage of down to feather, TOG rating, and overall weight to suit a range of sleep and budget preferences. Our Classic and Luxury Goose Down quilts are available in a standard or light version, so you can select your quilt based on your temperature preferences.
Classic Goose Down Quilts
A classically soft and warm quilt with 40% minimum goose down.
Available in 8 TOG warmth (Classic Goose Down) or 4 TOG warmth (Classic Light Goose Down), depending on your comfort preferences.
Our Classic Goose Down Quilts come with combination ties, allowing you to layer/pair them together for increased warmth.
Luxury Goose Down Quilts
Wonderfully light and soft, this quilt contains 80% minimum goose down - making it softer and lighter than Classic Goose Down.
Available in 8 TOG warmth (Luxury Goose Down) or 4 TOG warmth (Luxury Light Goose Down), depending on your comfort preferences.

Hungarian Goose Down Quilt
Our warmest quilt, for those who wish to sleep in ultimate luxury.
At a minimum 80% Hungarian goose down, this quilt is highly insulating while also being light, resilient, and lofty.
With a tog warmth rating of 10.5, our Hungarian Goose Down Quilt is the warmest quilt in the Morgan & Finch range, making it perfect for winter and cold sleepers.
What is the difference between Goose Down and Duck Down?
Goose down clusters tend to be larger than duck down clusters, resulting in a fluffier, lighter quilt with added insulating power.
Luxury Platinum Duck Down Quilt
Filled with minimum 80% duck down, our platinum duck quilts and duvets are luxuriously soft and lightweight. With a TOG rating of 6.5, this quilt offers warmth without weight and is great for year-round use.
Like our Luxury Goose Down Quilts and Classic Goose Down Quilts, our Platinum Duck Quilt is finished with combination ties at each corner, allowing you to layer this quilt for additional warmth in the cooler months.
INSIDER TIP:
Simply fluff down/feather quilts to increase the insulation within each pocket to remain warm and snug in the cooler months, or pat down the quilt to create a light, breathable layer in summer.
