Each season, we feature artwork on our products either designed in-house by our talented team, or supplied by an external studio. The vibrance and fun tropical feel of Thalia made it a design we were immediately drawn to and so excited to work with, particularly for our outdoor collection.
Perfect for summer accessories and bed linen due to its leafy design, we altered Thalia to fit a range of our most popular items. To complete this process, we started by scanning the original artwork and creating a flowing repeat pattern, fine-tuning colours and details along the way.
For the Thalia Quilt Cover, we broke up the design to make the leaves, flowerheads, and abstract shapes the focus. The design was then quilted with a flowing curved stitch for added visual depth and comfort.
On the reverse, we created a more pared back design, with scattered daisies and inky spots in a tonal blue colour palette. For the European pillowcases, we used the same daisy shapes and spots to make a cute and colourful confetti pattern, perfect for bringing a bright summer energy into any bedroom.
